With martial art lessons in MMA, Karate, Silat, Tai Chi, Aikido, The Harrow Martial Arts Centre is the premier martial arts gym in Harrow. Holding lessons in seven martial arts we have martial arts classes for everyone: from children?s Karate for the aspiring Karate Kid, to Mixed Martial Arts Training for the arriving Ultimate Fighter. Classes are taught by Black Belt masters, expert in their own martial art. Indeed, many of the masters started learning martial arts in the gym as young children, and have now become fully qualified black belts in their own right. Each martial art is unique, and choosing the right martial art for you can be a difficult decision. Take a look at the martial arts classes we hold on the next few pages. Some martial arts, such as Karate, Kick Boxing and Jiu Jitsu, are great for children, and you can find out more about them on our Kids Martial Arts page. Likewise, some martial arts, such as MMA and kick Boxing are modern martial arts which improve physical fitness and are highly practical. You can find out more about these on the MMA page. Others, such as Karate and Silat are ideal for self defence: being traditional they rely on technique rather than brute strength, allowing the student to defend themselves no matter what their size. You can find out about these on our Karate and Silat page. Lastly martial arts such as Aikido and Tai Chi are ?internal? martial arts. These rely on using the opponents own strength against them, and are among the most advanced and spiritual warrior arts. The gym is a fully matted area, with kick bags, strike shields, crash mat, and practice weapons. Such equipment helps improve students martial techniques, and makes learning martial arts more enjoyable. It also allows us to hold special courses, competitions, and one-to-one martial art lessons for our students.Located in Rayners Lane, (near Rayners Lane Station), the Harrow Martial Arts Centre has many students (kids and adults) from the local area, including Pinner, Eastcote, Ruislip, and of course Harrow. However, as the reputation of the Centre improves we are now taking students from the wider London area, including Wembley, Brent, Hillingdon, and Uxbridge. For example, students in the Centre can pay per lesson for their martial art tuition ? why pay for lessons you can?t attend? It also allows us to give discounts for those students on benefits, and for those who have two more people from the same family training in the gym.
